About The Linguistic Atlas Download
On this page you can download the spoken phrases from the atlas. They cover 21 different topics or categories of everyday life interactions in a native community. From greetings to social gatherings, from school to hunting and trapping.
Several languages and dialects are represented. You decide which category, language or dialect you want to download as well as which order to use.
If you are using this to learn an aboriginal language as a second language, we recommend you follow our topic order, and download the English before the Aboriginal language or dialect of your choice.
There will be a long enough pause between phrases to allow you to repeat what you have heard.
If you already speak an aboriginal language from the Cree-Innu family, but want to learn a different dialect, we recommend that you download first your dialect and then the new one you are trying to learn.
If you are using this to compare dialects, you can download as many dialects as you want, in the order you want. Remember to take note of your download order.
Enjoy!
